Early or Late Model MF135?

I have determined(with the help of this forum)that my tractor is a North American 135,gas,three cylinder,Deluxe model. It needs many things, like a radiator and a clutch, just to mention a few. The s/n 9A110416, making it a '67 (again, info from here). Many of the parts, such as the clutch, are available for s/n's higher than mine. Is there a point,in the s/n's where 'early' changes to 'late'? It seems like a '67 would be early,if production began in 1965. With shipping costs,I worry that the wrong heavy part will be sent from North Carolina to Montana. Thanks, Dan

The SN list I have in my parts book, says 9A110416 is a '71 model.

That's a three cylinder gas or diesel? All MF-135 diesel were 3 cylinder Perkins, but only the later gas per 3 cylinder Perkins, if made in the USA.

My list taken from an auction book, says production began in 1964 and ran to 1974 in the US.

According to my parts book, the main SN split was at 9A 130430. But the required clutch plate is also affected by the double clutch, single clutch, or independent PTO.

For the main clutch, the later dual live PTO clutch uses 516 068 M91 and that's the same number for the early main driven clutch plate unless single clutch, then the driven plate is 181 114 M91.

You need a parts book. You can't have mine.

Thank you Jerry. And, thank you David. You have given me some great information and good advice. (It must be a double clutch, as the PTO has three positions.) Thanks again! Dan
