Could someone give me a ballpark figure on the value of a J.D. 130 pedal tractor in fair/good condition? Tractor has been pedalled many miles but always looked after. Thanks in advance.

No 130 was made if you mean a 30 series from the 70's it is worth $125 to $175 depending on it's condition.

Gary,

Yep, the pedal version of the 630/730 was decalled as a 130, on the side of the hood, just as the first new generation pedals were called a 10 and the next version was a 20.

Hope you're getting that corn in.

Gary...the number painted on the tractor (original) says 130. Tractor was bought new in late '50's from local J.D. dealer by my grandparents,,,,appearnace of tractor mimics the 730 Deere of that era.

There was 5 variations of the 730 made in 1958.

And another one made in 1959. Maybe they were labeled with 130.

My book does not show them labeled as 130 but who am I to say they aren't.

Anyway the 730's are worth $700 to $1200 depending on their condition.

Thanks Gary...it may be that what i hurriedly read as a 130 is actually a 730...I guess I assumed that the pedal tractor would be numbered different than the full size tractor. The tractor is heavy diecast aluminum..no plastic parts, has a 2 position gearshift that engaged a noise-maker on the drive chain if any of this helps to identify it. The next time I am down to my parents I will try to get a photo to post here.

Bradley,

What you have really is a "130", and it is patterned after the 630/730 tractors of that era. Gary is right about the value.
