chuck bergstrom 01-08-2008 16:18:14 65.121.15.151 Report to Moderator	Could it be brass? In the late 80's and early 90's(and maybe before that and beyond)brass toys were offered. In our literature and order blanks, they were always fob Dyersville, Ia. so likely the Ertl Co. They were more expensive, a common 1/16 scale had an approximate dealer price of $75 or so. The guy said it was copper ... I didn't inspect it that closely as it was in a glass case. He did mention that it was discontinued (for sale by the dealers) because it was too brittle to play with. Customers kept returning them complaining about them. When I heard that I was surprised that he said copper as that is a fairly soft metal. Brass makes a lot more sense ... as far as being potentially too brittle. Thanks for the idea. [Reply]  [No Email]
