4020 Clutch Trouble

My 4020 clutch was slipping a little when first starting out, like after tying a round bale, but otherwise seemed fine, so I adjusted the clutch to my understanding of the instructions in the operator and service manuals. Now I am often having some difficulty getting it into gear (throttling up seems to help), and when pushing the clutch in it does not disengage for about 5 seconds or so. I've tried readjusting it about 10 times without any improvement. Also, everything inside the clutch housing is covered in oil, which I am guessing is the cause of the initial slipping. I realize that it probably need to be split and the clutch and seals redone, but what is the probable cause of the shifting and disengagement issues, and is there anything I can do to make it better until that can be taken care of?

Thanks for any help,
Pete
