4020 Compression Help?

What is the normal cylinder compression for a late model gas 4020?

Well when I tested mine last year it has 6300 hours on it and the lowest cylinder was 130 Psi and the highest was 140 PSI

So if I'm running between 150 to 140ish is that good?

Yes mine runs great so yours should too.

Sounds real good to me. I don't think I have tested any gas engines any higher than that. Too high can also start getting problems with knocking and needing special octane gas.

That is very good compression, agree that any higher will be more trouble than worth.

No I was just checking it. It has 7200 hrs and has a little blow by. It runs real good.

I bought a 3020 gas last summer and was thrilled to
find out that all 4 cylinders were reading close to
145 psi. With a clean gas tank, new carb float, and
pertronics ignition, it now runs like a champ.
