In process of replacing clutch assembly on 1970 4020. The new release brg.purchased in kit from Deere replaces part #60142ZC3 with 6014ZC3 which is a brg. which is only closed on one side"the balls are exposed on one side". We are not installing this new brg. will get original type which is still available at Deere. Can"t figure why Deere would change to this new number. Has anyone else come across this or are we missing something. After all we're just farmers and just love splitting tractor to replace release brg. Thanks.

The last one I got from deere was open too. Hy-capacity offers a sealed bearing for that application. I would prefer a greasable bearing but feel that sealed is better than the open one in the conditions they run in.

You will get the same bearing that you have already, do what Cliff said and find one from HyCap. chris

Went to another dealer 100 miles away and checked for original part number and their's was like the original. Their's was old stock, looks like Deere people are not looking at what their putting in boxes these days. Brg. I got had part# stampted on seal new stock doesn't.
