| The Valve will work but you will need a different mounting plate and linkage. If you have a late model 4020

Dave
I have a question will either plate work for all models listed?? From my brief research I think either plate will fit. I understand one of these plates will be required to take the place of plate AR73897
AR73899 fits the following tractors
4030 Tractor - 16May11
4040, 4240 and 4440 Tractors (North American Edition) - 16May11 ( FR DE )
and AR71188 fits the following tractors
4000 and 4020 (s.n. 201,000- ) Tractors - 20May11
4030 Tractor - 16May11

The thin plate for the 4020/3020 will fit early 4430/4630/4230/4030---later ser# take the thick plate with the valving in it----they wont interchange ( don't ask how I know) |

So how does the plate(AR73899) with the valve enter the picture? Why won't the interchange? If I'm correct either one of these plates( parts key #3 R50065 or R59080) for delete scv will fit 4020 or 30 series. Same plate should fit 40 series but I failed to locate it or another in 40 series PC.
Thanks,Jim

Well your taxing my memory-- the thick plate is to direct return oil on a single acting clyinder-the valve housing is ported different. The early 30 series and 20 sereis is the same -- on the delete plate it might work but I'm not sure ---somewhere in about 74 ? there was another plate from a service up date we instaled that had a hose plumbed to the plug on the back( where you set the draft control) to work with the manual by-pass valve-- then they went to the thick plate---have I got you more confused? |
