Those are special cap screws M 345 T.They go on the bottom of the rear cover and are used with the power shaft shield. The photo below shows two very dirty, greasy, special cap screws at the rear cover on "Sparky" our 51M.

| Thank you for the reply. Our m has a hinged pto shield and the posts it hinges on seem to be cast in. I will look again tomorrow for the bolts you refer to. Am I correct we are both talking about the pto shield? And what is the wheel I see in your picture?

| | Yes, power shaft shield is the name used in the parts catalog for what we call the pto shield. bill mart identified the wheel.
