I had one rebuilt by Deere a couple years ago, I think it was quite a bit more than $450.00. And then I did the removal and replacement, too.

I do them here for $150 plus parts, an o-ring kit is $105. On the 2510 they are known to have a problem in that area that "may" require a different cover to give it an improved design of 2 more bolts on the housing. The new parts actually require a second piece for the 2 extra bolts to thread into, but I have a template to drill and tap the 2 new holes into the original cover. The reason for this improved design is that the leverage on the upper housing from the operator "lunging" to a fro in rough terrain, stresses the existing housing causing warpage, the 2 extra bolts helps over come this. So a "normal" re-seal and calibration may not fix your leak,,Darn It,,but running it on my test bench will confirm the need or not for the improved housing...my mail is open if you want to talk about it..

You're email's not open on Modern view. I know one thing I'd have a lot less grey hairs if your test stand had been available for JD dealer purchase back in the 60's-80's. How's the weather up there. It's nice and sunny down here but the weird thing is Coastal Bermuda & Johnsongrass has green runners and this is mid February.

I don"t normally use modern view,,I"ll give the guy a call after supper. It was about 20 here this morning, been cool all day, small amount of snow on the ground,,but this would be nice compared to our friends in the far north.I do think the valve will inter-change with a 4020 but I have never researched, the down side of me re-building these for others is the shipping, and trying to keep them from slobbering while on the trip. I"m at 4454 Stage Coach rd. Somerset Ohio 43783,if you want to Google it,, a bit south east of center...This test bench is a handy out fit for sure, I have 4 SCV"s laying here waiting for a re-seal now..

Tim

Some members such as myself use Modern view and my point was if someone using Modern wanted to email you it doesn't appear that your email is open. It's a simple fix if you choose to do it.
