Well I didn't have much resources available at the time when I had to redo a steering wheel. After I took all the junk off of it I saw that it was very badly cracked and chunks missing. I cleaned the cracks up and got that puddy for rubber or steel repairs and filled them in. Once hard I took off all the rough edges and formed the grips and wheel as it once was. I taped up the steel spokes and got a can of that spray rubber stuff at the Big W store and sprayed the wheel another coat and it is amazing all the fine cracks and uneven areas just evened out and now that steering wheel is as good as new. been using it now for 5 years no cracks and it has good grip.
