Does it make it easier, one way or the other, Putting it on, and then the hood, or the other way round. How is the pipe secured inside the muffler going to the manafold? |

| I've had good success placing wood stove door sealing rope around the installed exhaust pipe before I place the muffler over it. The muffler's bottom flange has a recess that holds the rope well. Bolting the muffler down on the rope seal reduces the smoke that escapes that dirtys things under the hood. |

| | Makes quite a difference on the on the 70D! Mostly from smoke headed back down 'round the OD of the pipe in the casting. Often wondered if it might make a noticeable difference if I had a weather break but I sit out in the open on all mine. Later. |
