| Something to consider would be strapping the main bearings, crank, rods, cylinder block, cam, followers, head , pumps on thier mount and the injectors. And send it all to Albert. Everything will come back correct and ready to bolt on. Tractor will run better than it did factory fresh. Price will be right and you will have peace of mind that everything is exact . |

| Doing the job right the first time is usually cheaper than doing the job over a 2nd time. Shipping is cheap. One trip to send and receive the parts saves a lot of valuable time and fuel to run around for parts and shops. RT is a shop that has specialized in diesel two cylinders for decades. Asking billy bob down a Bubba's machine shop, bait, tackle and marital advice services if he has ever machined a two cylinder before . Sometimes they don't admit they don't have the proper tools for a 6+ inch bore. Main bearing clearances and bearing materials have caused some serious problems. |

| I know B-D"s comments sound it a bit rough at times, but hes just trying to make a point, and a good one he does. If you are going to the trouble to put pistons in it, chances are there are other things that it needs. If you are going to do that deep of work, youre right there to put in new bearings and have the fuel system done. Is it expensive, sure, but as he says, its cheaper than going back and doing it a second time. Are these machines complicated? in the grand scheme of things, no not really, but they have little things that can bite you if you dont know the tricks. Albert Ulrich (Rennisance Tractor) can make a two cylinder diesel run like no other ive ever seen. And im talking about a tractor you can take out and work all day, not one to go 300ft at a time and youre lucky if it lasts to get on the trailer. |

you make it sound like nobody can work on these engines, before I started restoring tractors nobody around here had even seen a head off a diesel 2 cylinder, I've never had a problem. |

| To be honest I was positive I had included Renaissance Tractor in with Albert. Even spell checked Renaissance tractor but must have lost it in the cut and paste. Could not expect you to know Albert on first name alone. Sorry. |

| If you and MB sitting at your computers can't find Renaissance Tractor on your own. There is no use trying to tell you. |

| | Not a personal attack, but how would they have even know to look for "Renaissance Tractor" until you made this post? How would they have know that "Albert" owned a business called "Renaissance Tractor" unless you told them? Did I miss something? |
