What is a four cyl complete pony motor selling for,have op to buy one that the owner said bought in 58 from john deere was used for testing never on a tractor. he work at waterloo for the summer. |

| $500 is pretty fair for a complete one, I've bought a few for that price.
For 1500 it better be overhauled and running like a sewing machine.... |

| There's a few on Ebay and craigslist for anywhere from 1000-1500 not sure if they ever sell but that is the asking price |

| Complete... and only driven by a little old lady on Sundays to church... Could possibly fetch over 2,000 on the right day. If the guy isn't b.s.-ing you about the condition or can back up his claims then easily the 1,500 that was mentioned. Again if it's really all that... If you can snag it for anything less than a grand you did really good. |

| I sold my spare at polks auction about 4 years ago for $400.00. It was complete with ignition, carb, cluth with housing and air cleaner. $1500 sounds more like retail for one that has been rebuilt. $1500 is getting pretty close to enough dollars to make the swap to factory electric start parts. |
