There a 4 variations of parts oil bath with and without precleaner and dry element with or without. Somebody correct me if I’m wrong, I was told this when I wanted to change my 4020 oil bath with precleaner to a dry element. A John Deere mechanic told me it was doable. [Reply]   [No Email]

For a 4020 diesel SN<200,999 I saw two(2) air cleaner canisters listed. Dry type was introduced @ SN 119,000. The way I understand the parts catalog was the same precleaner was utilized for oil or dry air cleaner.
