pulled #1 cylinder exhaust valve pushrod -had a real good bend and a wear mark where it was rubbing other pic is of the intake air rubber hose that is cracked probably due to the drying effect of long term ether use - the sharpie mark is where the intake pipe stops -the crack goes about an inch past the pipe allowing dirt to be pulled in past the filter - pulled new injectors - #1 of course was as clean as the day it was installed since both valves could not open -#4 was also clean -I think the tractor was running on #2,3,5 and 6 cylinders -will do compression tests next Ken |

| Is it case of Bubba previously tearing the engine apart and slapping it back together? |

| Looks more like a cut to me than a crack. When those hoses get old there pretty hard to install,i've seen them cut before to install easier.Doubt if ether had anything to do with it. |

| recently tore 4020 down that was breaking pushrods and rocker arms. The cam gear was loose on cam which wore the key and keyways which then in turn retarded valve timing far enough that the pistons started helping close the valves. now we need pistons and other parts as well Paul |
