Wrong side to start from. Take off the oil gauge line from the back side of the governor case and remove any adapters going into the cast iron of the governor. Insert thin wire and poke around in the bottom of this passage dead center going forward. If you screw in a grease gun hose at this port and pump fast enough you can just blow it clean with high pressure grease too. The passage is much less than 1/16 inch in diameter, going straight forward and squirting oil directly on the gear. I drilled mine out to 1/16, don't think it caused any loss of oil pressure as measured on the gauge. To easily plugged when smaller in my opinion. |

| O.K. Thanks guys...thats just what i needed.like i said, inside of these eng. is all new territory for me. from the side i was looking at i could see a big gob of crud up there...bet thats the outlet! i agree, too small a hole...plugs too easy, especially when you see all the crud that comes out the first time you pull the drain plug! Anyone know the best place to get the gear set for this? I tried YT, they don't have it. |

| | Unfortunately $800 or close to from mother deere or used pair from local junk yard for cheaper if you can live with the wear on them. I swear they are so high I think I'll go into business making them myself for $500. |
