pbb 12-30-2012 17:30:26 96.43.52.65 Report to Moderator	I know a guy that bought his tractor back from the guy that he sold it to years ago.Its from 47-50 model.Its a factory gas one tank and gas manifold.Its got round axel tubes and hi lo tranny.Its faded bad with very little rust.Strait sheet metal and good tires.Rolomatic also.Its missing the carb and mag. He said some one stole it from the other owner.He said he was going to fix it back up. I asked him if he would sell it like it sets and he told me he wanted 700 dollars for it. You guys think its a good deal.I know its going to cost me for a mag and carb.Last summer my buddie had a 50 B stuck with 4 bad tires he wanted 800 for it. He finally sold it a few months back.I wanted it but i knew it would cost a arm and a leg for tires.Tractors in my aera is getting harder to find and the ones you do find they have a high price tag on them. pbb 12-30-2012 19:06:58 96.43.52.65 Report to Moderator	Re: Price of a late A in reply to pbb, 12-30-2012 17:30:26   I have a 37 A.I guess i could borrow the mag and carb off of it to hear it run.Only problem is my mag is long lug and the late a would be short.Im looking for a later model jd so i can go on my clubs tractor rides.My 37 will do 5 to 6 mph.I dont know what im going to do yet.I might be able to get him down on the price.I know where theres another A is. Easy to get $200-$400 into a clutch now-a-days. I agree , you need to get some truthfull history about how or if it ran before parts were taken off. Complete and unbroken rebuildable 71,s that I have seen and bid on have been bringing $200 on up and even 67,s lately the same. Not saying they are worth it as I quit bidding at $100.
