Ditto. I solved the same problem on my 2040 by changing the lift pump. Butch |

| Thanks, guys... My 2510 is getting diesel in the oil. Changed the fuel filter last spring and the plunger on the take-up pump did not work. Had to take off the bleeder and pour fuel in to fill the filter. Bet that's the problem. Adds about a quart of fuel to the crankcase every 10-13 hours, so I change it often. |

| Lift pump can't pump fuel if cam lobe is putting pressure on lift pump operating arm. Engine must be rotated a little to get cam lobe away from pump arm so pump can pump fuel. |

| Nah... the plunger is broken. No resistance to it at all. Thanks. |
