I am doing axle bearings and seals on a 60. The axles have a slight groove from the old seal. Probably can get a way without the sleeve but I want to make sure I do not have any leaks when I get it put back together. The Deere guy tells me that deere no longer has availabilty and also says the issue is getting the sleeve that far down on the shaft. Did my A a few years back an I ordered the sleeve and had the right tool with it to get it in place. Can you guys give some leads or advice on this?? Thanks and Merry Christmas!! |

| Any bearing house or auto parts store should be able to get the speedi-sleeve. May need to modify or make the installer to go that far on the shaft. |

| I've heard of guys tig welding that seal groove. Polish it with a flap disk on the angle grinder. Very little heat is applied too. I know welding isn't good on axles BUT? ?? I would try it. |
