I see some tractors that look original with decals straight on the top of the yellow and some that are at an angle at the bottom of the yellow. Repainted ones seem to be put on straight at the top. The JOHN DEERE decal on the hood is to far back. Also lots of people paint the axle yellow because it is easier than taping it off. The axle should not be painted. Also on the 30 series the generator is painted Green and the dash Black. [Reply]  [No Email]

I'm sure the one I'm looking at has been repainted at some time. So if i make the deal, I will more than likely repaint it again. So the "origonal" 530 I'm looking at with the numbers at an angle is not "original" then? There was a nice explanation of this in one of the magazines some time back. On the models that used script numerals, 5-2-0, or '60' or '70', those were tilted at 28 degrees.
