My only concern is that I don't like to flip the pins, as they are just a minor press fit as it is, and now that the flats are in the bores, there is less surface area for the press fit to grip. Those pins are critical, and I know of one guy who had a pin fall out and locked the steering to the extreme left or right. Fortunately he was not travelling very fast, but if he had been, he would have probably been tossed of the seat, and maybe under the tractor. I hope you do not experience the same occurence. Part number F1743R, 2 req'd, price is $1.19 at my dealer. That's a $2.38 corner I won't cut. |

| Yea, they were 1.08 each but I had to wait 4 days and I wanted to get it done. I really had to pound those pins to get them back into the holes. The worn area is less than .200", the sleeve hole is over 1/4" thick. Somebody is going to have to pound them back out if they ever need to be changed again I'm sure. |
