Topic: hydraulic pump seals

I"ve got a 52 MT and the hydraulic pump leaks badly at the point where it bolts to the engine, my IT manual shows a shaft seal here so I"m assuming it has failed. Can anyone tell me what type of seal I should purchase and a source. Thanks. |

| Chris, Its worth a shot to try a seal but be prepared for it to more of a problem than that. Very often these old pumps are scored internally after all these years and it causes pressure to escape out through the drive shaft. You may need a new pump. Good Luck! John |

| Along with the seal you will need the gasket set. #AM1149T Looking on the bright side, if that gasket hadn't failed when the seal went the TOM oil would be in the engine. |
