Just drive in second gear...or
Download the free parts book at JDPARTS, and look at page 40-3, items 10 and 11. Could be a bent shifter shaft, or more likely, weak or broken spring, or a chafed pawl. Sometimes if left that way for a long time, the notch in the shifter shaft looses its edge, and this lefts the pawls pop out of place. Start with the parts book. Buying the Deere '60' service manual, SM-2008 would be a great move as well. |
