I'm grinding the valves on a 530 for a guy & the only book he has is the operators manual.Would like the proper grind angles for the valves & also the torque for the head bolts.I have a book for a 50 but they are a different style head & not sure they'd be the same values. Thanks in advance for any info.Ron |

| Seems to me that the only 30 deg angles are on "All-Fuel" JD Heads.. I like 45 Deg on the seat and 44 1/2 Deg on the Valve.. Before I cut that 44 1/2, I polish the valve, back-cut 2 angles before I Polish, then kiss the valve with 44 1/2 Deg .080" just inside the edge radius, then open up the seat width and bowl.. Combustion chamber polishing is optional..! Ron.. |
