Hi just purchase a JD tractor that was repainted by previous owner. He stripped the machine clean of any identification tags so the only number I can find is in the left side of the tranny which is L19700L. On this little bit of info can anyone help me figure out what size or model JD I have. Or where I might be able to find more numbers.

Thanks.

John

The number L19700L with the "L"s in it makes me think it's a Mannheim built tractor. Look at frame over RH frt axle for a serial number.

This is a 1020, 2020 and 3020. They get larger and there are other models that look about the same. You most likely have a "New Generation" tractor which followed the two cylinders. If you can get some pictures of the tractor and the dash or operator's view it would be easy to identify.

Sorry, the middle picture should have been a 2020. Do a search of 1020,2020,3020,1010,2010,and 3010 and see if you don't find yours.
