| The M has the ser# on the light switch tag. The 40 will be on the lft side of the bellhousing(torque tube). |

| Another way to tell them apart is the 40 had a three point hitch from the factory. The MT did not have a factory 3 pt. Most of the 3pt kits for the MT look like they are add on's and not stock. The MT also has the horizontal grill bars like an A or B where the 40 will have the vertical "screens" like a 50, 60, 520, 630, etc. |

| If no success try looking on the top left of the clutch/belhousing. Keep an eye open for where the plate used to be. |
