I am in need of 2 16in front wheels for our 720.

Its a narrow front, roll o matic. I dont need anything special, just 2 wheels that are not bent/cracked. Does not matter if they are faded as I can sandblast and paint them myself.

Also, it currently has 6.50x16 tires on it. What it the largest size I could run without them rubbing?

The tractor will work harder and burn extra fuel because it's

always driving up hill.

Yep. Put smaller tires on the front so you go downhill all the time. Probably be able to pull an extra plow bottom!

Seriously though, if the 720 is similar to my 520, any JD wheel will fit the bolt pattern. I have put a JD wagon wheel on to get by.

Quoting Removed, click Modern View to see

Its strictly for play. Also, the rears are larger than factory. It probably does not use a full tank of LP in a years time.

What you need to check is the clearance between the top of the tire and the bottom of the tractor frame, when ONE wheel is run up on a 4x4"..
I know 6.50x16" works, but am not sure you can get away with 7.00x16"..
The 720 and 730 are kind of heavy on the front when not pulling a lot and that is why they usually have 6.50x16 (6 Ply) on the front..
I am pretty sure 600x16 was the original size, but they sink in wet ground pretty easy..
35 to 40 lb pressure is about right, with 6 Ply tires..

Ron..
