What's a fair price for a 1951 JD G. Excellent condition, .125 overbore, New tires, Big nut carb. No three point. Looks good, Runs good. Central Ohio. Thanks for your input. RR |

Depends on what part of the country. Most G's as you describe average about $3500. New tires are probably worth $1000.

Hey Popinjohn, I think I said I was in Central Ohio. A 1950 G such as the one I described just sold three weeks ago in Atlanta Ga. for $8500.00. I thought that was a little high. I guess it just depends on how bad somebody wants it.

Thank you for your reply JD Jim. I think you got a great deal. After you completely dis assemble it, clean it, prime and paint it and re assemble it, what would you take for it?

Well I would never sell it honestly but if I had to put a price / value on it I would say painted with new tires and all done I'd say it's worth 7-8 more or less if someone really wanted it.. I just bought another g for a pullin tractor and got a great deal on it.. Just have too look around r u buyin or selling?
