I have a JD 3020 diesel it has a synero range transmission. Can I put a pressure gauge part #R34259 that fits a power shift transmission in a syncro range transmission, to tell the transmission temp? |

What are you using it for that you want a trans. temp guage.I have never seen a trans temp guage move on a syncro range tractor. The only way to overheat one (Maybe) is by running a hyd. motor for hours.Or running a loader with the wrong valve on it.

I'll probably get into trouble because I have to do a lot of assuming here. I assume you have an older style 3020? I say that because my 2510 does not have a trans. temp gauge. My 2520(SR) does. So my assumption is that's a change with the newer (side console) style? So could you find what's on a newer 3020 and fit it to yours? I also assume you meant temp. gauge, not pressure?

I would think so, you may need to make a fitting for the pick up bulb to go in.

Can I take the switch out on the side of the synco shift part #AR89691 and adapting a fitting to the transmission oil temperature gauge?

The gauge you mention "r34259" is a pressure gauge. Are you trying for a pressure gauge or a temp gauge? The switch "ar89691" is the neutral start switch and should NOT be removed but used for it"s intended safety purpose. The port the switch is screwed into is above the oil level of a properly filled transmission and would not give a very accurate reading of the trans oil temperature anyway.
