I"m using a 404D out of an early 7700 combine for my 4020. It has two spin-on fuel filters on the left side near the front, but the numbers are faded away. I"ve looked on the JD parts site, but nothing like what I have. Anybody know what the filter numbers are?

AR45098 was the number I listed in my first reply. If one enters AR45098 in the part number search box on a 7700 combine this pops up "No search results found".

You must get fuel filters for the 7700 NOT THE 4020.

The only fuel filter I found for a 7700 other than the "for export" was the AR50041 filter. The canister filter is AP27688 FILTER ELEMENT

If you're referring to pre '69 factory 4020 fuel filters here's the part number AR45098 FUEL FILTER ADD 9.05 USD 18.10 USD

BTW all the 4020's I've seen had the fuel filters on RH side of engine not LH side.

But if you're referring to filters for a 7700 combine engine the ones for export was all I found that utilized a canister type fuel filter.

This is an early 7700 engine, and the filters are not canister type- they are spin-on, two of them on the left, near the front of the engine.

Guys, I know I need filters for the 7700. That's why I told you what the engine came out of. I've been on the JD website, and I was just at NAPA, and there's no listing for what I have. I thought possibly someone here had run into this problem. The engine is original to the 7700. I'm on my way to Deere now.

While your making the big change, go ahead and swap it over to the square glass filter, one is all you need, much easier to change and more available..

Tim- Probably should have done that, but didn"t know what the expense would be. Deere dealer told me that most of this style had been changed over years ago. It took them about 30 minutes to figure out what I needed, but they did. The part number is AR45098, and they had them in stock. Also bought the little drain valves for the filters.

I know we discussed this before, but I would sure like to change the combine motor over to the oil pan on the 4020 motor. Of course I have both motors here- what would it take? Pump? Pickup? Thanks for the help.
