Am looking to find the bendix for a 110 starter. Anyone know where to look? I think it's a 68 but not sure as it's my brother in laws. I'll check on that. He has a starter that has a bad one and rather than him getting a new starter that costs so much I"d think one could just replace it like you would with a car. I've looked at it and it seems like it would be a cake job. So if anyone has advice where I could pick one or two up let me know. Thanks |

| | The old starter teeth are all rolled over and there by not working. New is needed. If I went to any small engine shop in town I would be sad at the outcome. It just wouldn"t be worth it to even try. As to what year I have yet to find out. The starter is indeed only that a starter. I do know that. Thanks for the help. If I find year I"ll let you know. |

| What are you working on? It must be something different than the 110 garden tractor, for the 110 has no Bendix. On it the generator and starter are the same belt driven unit - no Bendix. |

Go look at the parts catalogs. There were three or four 110 parts books, and several different versions of starters, some with a formal Bendix type drive. |

| If it's broken, any small engine shop should be able to get you new one or even parts for the one you have. There are lots of these starters, new, rebuilt, and used, on eBay all the time. If the Bendix is stuck, push it out with a long thin screwdriver and then spray the shaft with carb or brake cleaner and then with spray lubricant or graphite. |
