I bought a used set of .045 over pistons for my 1935 A. I am trying to install them but the wrist pins are too small for my rod bushings. I can get new bushings from John Deere but they're about $120.00 for a pair (cough cough), and the new ones from Deere show they're 1.607 inside diameter, my pins on my .045 pistons are only 1.602 and they fir nice and tight in the pistons. Could I hone out the holes in my new pistons and use my old wrist pins or would that be wrong?? I could get the new bushings but I'd hate to do that if they're the same size as my bushings are already. |

| I got it. I just honed the holes in my new pistons out until the bigger wrist pins would slide through. Thank you for the replies! |

| Do you dimensions for the bushings (I. D. , O. D. & length? A good machine shop should be able to fix you up. They need to be honed to size anyway. |

| Not totally clear on what you want to do (late in the day and pleasant beverages & company involved) BUT, check McMasters Carr for a bushing that could work for you . HTH |
