| I'm surprised the telescoping drive shaft/u-joints lasted very long. The slip clutch on baler must have been frozen solid. |

| It's no surprise that the gearbox shelled out; I'm surprised it lived as long as it did. The impact and force from splitting wood like this would be WAY beyond what the system was ever designed to withstand. |

| hmmm, i got an old new holland baler (the giant old one's with wisconsin engines) sittin out back...i bet i could do something similar but maybe gear it down alittle slower and rig up some kind of clutch or brake or something to stop things if things go bad... |

| If things "Go Bad" it starts out "bad",,I wouldn"t make one of these for my Mother-in-law...There was one a few miles south of me made out of an old 77 New Holland ,,same thing happened to it, we all figured the guy would loose a hand before the gear box blew...Scary stuff... |
