Hooking up the hoses and noticed when you push the hose in and turn the lever, oil starts leaking from the back of the outlet. Is there an o ring or seal of some kind in there? how hard is it to replace?

Thanks!

I wrote down all the part numbers, went to JD and got all the o rings and backings. Tore everything apart, none of the o rings were right. So I had to go back to JD and get the correct o rings. This is MY fault though, I forgot to tell you that the hydraulic outlets are not John Deere, they are Pioneer.

I'd suggest replacing parts keys #13 & 14.

Got everything I should need, before I do anything, is there any other orings that I should replace when I'm in there?

Only thing I feel bad about is my old age. My having spent many, many hours behind a JD parts counter probably gives me a small edge over you in looking up JD parts. Granted sometimes I can't find what I'm looking for either.

Thanks for the picture that help a lot. I tried to find that picture myself at the JD parts website, but I just couldn't find it.

Don't feel bad, most of my questions are hard to comprehend!

Those are the o rings that go in the hole that you push the hose in to right? It doesn"t seem to be leaking there, it seems like its leaking from rear of that. I think some people call it a hydraulic block? If you put your hand on the back of it, then push your hose in, there is something that slides out in the back, thats where its leaking

There are "2" sets of o-rings/backing rings on each barrel or sleeve, the complete sleeve needs to be removed to change them. They are a common leak, on these valves, I have come up with a Quad ring style seal with 2 lips on each ring and a solid back up ring to go with it that seems to be working out good. I'll try to get some pics of them and the fancy tool I made to seat them with posted tomorrow. I have been using them for a few months now, I also came up with the same style for the handle seal too.
