I have a 1965 JD400 Backhoe... It"s the gasoline engine model with a 235 motor. The motor has one bad cylinder that is leaking oil past the rings. I was told that you can replace the cylinder liner with one that comes with the piston and rings already in it. I"d like to replace all four of these if possible. But, I"m having a problem finding a place that may still have these available for sale. Does anyone out there know where I may be able to buy these sets? Thanks Nate |

| According to JDparts.com on early model gas engines a liner with piston installed wasn't offered. The earlier sn liners are different from the later ones.
T20080 CYLINDER LINER 1 - 104930 (B) (SUB AR52252)
T32350 CYLINDER LINER 4 104931 - (GASOLINE)
AR71590 PISTON-LINER KIT 4 106069 - (CONTAINS CYLINDER LINER AND PISTON WITH PISTON RINGS) |

| DEERE would probably be the only one with the piston already installed in the liner . There is probably a vender on here that could furnish the liners pistons and rings etc. |

| First I'd try a John Deere dealer. You can even go to JDPARTS and look them up and price them yourself. May need some block casting numbers. After that maybe some aftermarket places (like this site) Not sure if the gas ones come assembled ? The diesel ones from Deere did. |
