| 8K is an average price to pay if the 2150 is in decent shape. However, with 9K hours on the engine and power train it might be a good idea to find out what the tractor was used for. If it had a loader on it, in the past, I would be a bit wary... as 9000 hours pushing a loader is rough work, putting a lot of strain on the clutch and transmission components. The 179 cu in engine is a good little power plant..but if it has been abused and/or you plan on using it at rated PTO speed, I would consider doing an engine job. I looked at a 2150 4wd a few months back, with 4500 hrs on it. it spent most of its life on a golf course. I was planning on mounting a loader on it. It hadn't had its clutch replaced and had some hydraulic problems... well by the time I added up the repair and loader costs it was cheaper for me to buy something newer. I found an AGCO-Allis 5660..same size as the 2150... with only 300 hours on it... just about brand new... for 15K...very heavy duty loader, 4wd, dual hydraulics, joy-stick loader controls, etc... been in the back of a heated garage since it was purchased in 1999. In my judgement 9000 hours is just too many hours for 8K... especially from a private party. |
