Hi all. Tried to re-time my Wico 'C'mag per IT manual after some gov issues and noticed that the impulse lock nut (part # 16-491) was loose. After tightening I could not even turn mag shaft one full revolution to get a 'snap'until I loosened it back up. Is this normal to just be 'hand' tight? Also can't get a consistant spark while on the bench. Maybe every 3rd or 4th revolution. Mag was rebuilt and worked just fine before taking it off gov housing. Any info would be appreciated. thanks... |

| You may not have the shims, spacers, and related parts in the correct order. I usually torque the nut to 25 ft/lbs as I finish up. If you leave the nut hand tight, more trouble will come. |

| The nut should be tight, then staked with a punch to keep it from coming off. Need to talk to your rebuilder. |
