In ohio here. So if im a driver who doesn't drive at the current moment for $ . Can i mark category 3 and avoid getting a med card? If i wanted to change my certification at a later date what do you have to do buy another license ?and produce med card obviously. |

| | I think each state is interpreting this differently. I stopped at the courthouse Friday and took care of this as I hadn't heard anything from the state about it yet. I would not need a medical card if I went with option 4/intrastate exempted here in Nebraska. But my CDL would revert back to a class C/standard license at the state line. A quick Google search just brought up a link to Maryland's DMV site, and though you would not need to provide the state with your current med card, you would need it when renewing or at the request of the DMV. I don't see a problem with it arising, but you never know, we may need to pick up a piece of equipment or something somewhere. The easiest way to do it, if you are keeping your med card up to date, is to just go with option 1 and turn the copy into the state every other year. I told the examiner that it sounds like having the option 1 would be simpler. He said that he tries telling everyone that but they don't seem to get it. And I could see pulling a trailer with the pick-up, even though it wouldn't require a CDL, in the wrong state really complicating matters. |

| Catergory 3 is intrastate . You now must fill out this new form or lose your cdl . I think the form number is 2159 |

| We have the same thing here in MI and there isn't any of the four that you don't at least have to have a med card in your possession when driving a commercial vehicle. What I would like to know is the exact defination of "implement of husbandry" in #4 , exepted intrastate . It refers to "selfpropelled implement of husbandry and tractor drawn implement of husbandry"? |
