Ok guys I have 2 questions. First I am new to the hydraulic remote/lift system on my 1952 G. My question is how exactly does it work with a remote cylinder and can you use a cylinder and the lift at the same time or does it bypass the lift and run the remote. Just really don't know how it works. secondly I was wondering if anyone builds alternator brackets for a G so that I can change it to a 12 volt system instead of 6 volt. I have all the other parts just need a bracket and I was gonna try and find one before I just fabricated one. |

| Yes you can use both, as we run a F145 3BTM plow on our 1956 #60, and also on our 1950 A as both have last addit power trol. We use a JD double action cyl, with one side vented , meaning only using one hose instead of two on the tail wheel as the cyl needs to retract the ram as that is how the tail wheel needs to function for use. When we are plowing , as you enter the furrow the 2 point drops first and then the tail wheel drops. When pulling out of the ground the tail wheel comes up first then the rock shaft and can not be reversed as this is the only way it will funtion, not correct but does work. |

| Your G should be 12 volt. I never saw a 6 volt G. It doesn't take too much to fab a bracket that will work. |

| Without a separate add-on hydraulic pump, you can only run either a remote cylinder, OR the rock shaft. It depends on which set of plugs are in the powertrol, dummies (rock shaft) or open plugs (for a cylinder). Can't say that I've ever seen an aftermarket bracket for an alternator, but I've been wrong before! |
