Its an 8 speed powershift. When you put it in park and let go of the handle it will pop out of park and go half way between P and neutral. |

| Update: I unattached the cable from the lever thats on the side of the trans. The lever moved easy until it got to where it should be for park, then I had to put pliers on it and pull a little, then all of a sudden it went easy. Now I can move it with my fingers, reattached the cable, went in the cab and tried it. Works perfect, goes into Park easy and stays there.
Thanks! |

Cable is like new at the end, but I'll replace both cable and spring and let you know if that takes care of it |

| Besides the spring the cable can get rusty/dirty causing the cable not to move easily. |

| Its not going into park all the way sometimes the 1/4 in pin in the dash the lever pivots on breaks and the bottom 1/2 of it falls out . or the cable is a little out of its clamp on the bottom also there is a spring that is on the shifter to pull the park cable if you take the top off of the dash you can see it work and maybe see what isn't right. |

| If one person puts it in N and holds it there while a second person goes under the tractor, the part the cable is hooked to isn"t moving ahead all the way, if you pull that piece ahead it stays in park. Wondering if that spring is weak, and its not pushing it as far as it should be, or if there is more to do then that |

| Could be weak spring also those shifters get wore the spring pulls on the arm the park cable hooks to. also the two arms the spring hook to push against each other on the back side to help pull into park they get wore where the touch each other. |
