i pulled the remote hyd control valve from my 2010. used earplugs to plug the open lines. heres the sad part, put an ear plug in the rear port of the clutch housing and it dropped right in. all efforts to get it out only resulted in it going in deeper. does any one know where this port goes? I am almost sure it is the return. i thought it would go to the transmission. drained it and pulled the filter,no luck. help please |

| If it went in to partskey #57 that is the front cover of the transmission. The front cover does a lot of hydraulic fluid routing. It will be a challenge to get the earplug out without removing the front cover to access all the ports.
here is a picture from my last 2010 split. I circled in yellow where #57 mates up.

| thanks, paul. I was afraid of that. just recently aquired this old tractor. it had belonged to my father-inlaw. he passed away, and had been bad for a long time. the tractor was left outside and not looked after. rain water had gotten in the engine, it was bad inside. machine work, and a lot of money on pistons etc got it running, had bad hydraulic leak on the remote valve. does anyone know of a schematic that shows where the top (rear) port leads? good pic paul, i cleaned a half bushed of bird nests to get the valve out. |
