I"m going to update my 4020 to 38" rears. Is there any benefit to changing out the center castings and installing new rims vs just using step-up rims? It appears to be about a total of $300.00 more to change out both the castings and the rims.

I like 16.9x38 as they give a little more fender clearance.Step Up rims look fine.

I have always liked 38's on 4020's with the correct centers I think it looks better than step up rims but thats my opinion, they did make step up dogs for the wheels the cast grabbers that grab the rim where longer

Forget the front tires, wheels in picture, they have since been corrected. Rear wheels are extended rims.

I had just bought the tractor a few days before this parade and the front rims would not mount correctly because the tires would rub the pedestal. Had to turn the rims inside out to mount them. From the front it looked like a semi wide front end.

As for the float it had to do with the Wounded Warriors Project. Everyone on the float was a recovering soldier. I was contacted a day or so before the parade to pull it, had no idea what it was about when I showed up to pick it up. Not sure what the helmets were about. Guess my reputation preceded me.
The float was not very well identified as to what it represented but during the parade as it passed people that knew what it was about they stood up and cheered. It was a good feeling to be pulling it.

Tom, I have step-up rims on one of my 4020's. While not original they actually look pretty good. The step also makes it easier to dismount a tire whenever that becomes necessary. Mike
