It's 11:30 and I just spent 2 hours uploading 226 files to Photobucket (images and video)

Photobucket

There were a lot of good shots and a lot of good video. This old Galloway round rod engine is a Cascaden design. I have a Masterpiece Six like on the button.

Click on the link (Old Cat Sixty) to see the video of the Caterpillar running

Great photos Walt. Make sure you stop and shake hands next year. I was so focused with running my Nick and trying not to black out from the heat I didnt even notice you taking the vids of it on the baker fan. I would have gladly let you shovel some coal and play with the controls.

As one of the directors of the show I would like to say thanks for attending and the publicity of your fine photos. Would like to meet you but the pulls keep me tied up a lot down there.

Fantastic pictures as always Walt. The new format is great. I don't think you are ever going to have any complaints when we can all sit in the comfort of our homes and see all these shows through your camera. Love the details. Keep doing what you do so well.
Thanks.

Great as always Walt. I haven't made it to many shows last year or this year. My wife was pregnant last summer and then this year our little girl is almost 1 year old. Not much spare time to go to a show! We did go to our first tractor pull the other night and she enjoyed that very much. The little one usually sits and watches your videos and looks at the pictures with me, so we both say Thank you!

PS, the new format works great!

I like the way you posted them. You must have been the guy leaning back against the tree with the camera on a pole. I was right behind you a few feet sitting on a golf cart. I saw the guy stop and take your picture. There was a nice crowd there Saturday. I had 3 engines there. Enjoyed the pictures.

Walt , Great pics! I look at a lot of these pics and I wonder how I missed that! You have a good eye. Good to see you and Tractor Dan and thanks for the pics of all the stuff I overlooked.

I am kind of neutral as far as which posting style is best. I do think the other way invited more comments as there were more breaks along the way to insert something. But this way is slightly easier to see all the pics since they are on fewer pages. So, I would say do it the way that works best for you.

Also, the videos worked fine on my computer.

Had a good time chatting with johndeerefan and others that dropped by the DScott Hospitality Suite.

Walt, your photos never cease to amaze me. Your attention to small details is great. I was at the show, but I still see several things I missed after looking through your pictures. Your pics show up in the same order in classic view and modern now!

Everyone, Walt & Tractor Dan are two of the finest gentlemen you will ever meet. I only was able to talk with them for a short while, but it felt like I had known them for many years.

I have to give a special thank you to DScott. I would have never made it through the hot day without your generator and fan!

Walt, as usual, superb job. Videos came in okay after the first one. I am on Frontier DSL and weekends are slow. We just finished the I & I show at Penfield, IL last week. M & M was featured with one trator coming from WV. Come up to Rantoul, IL next year. Thanks for the great job. I REALLY APPRECIATE it!!

This old steam launch was used up in Michigan or Wisconsin as a school bus between some islands on a big lake. The sides are strips of steel and not wood.

While I was taking photos of a few of the steam traction engines, I'd walked around to shoot some photo of another area and overheard a grandmother dealing with a child about riding on grandpa's tractor. I stepped up and offered to get the child a place on the platform of my friend Mike McKnight 's Garr Scott. Everyone was happier a few minuites later and the grandmother thanked Mike for letting her grandson stand on the platform and hold the steering wheel. Mike said "that's what we're here for" The video is of a scale steam engine on the cordwood cutoff saw.
