I'm trying to rehab a 40-50 yr old mounted post hole digger. It mounted to the 3-point lower arms only of an A with brackets bolted to the drawbar frame. The brackets also were the attachment point of the lower 3-point lift arms and the digger mounted to horizontal pins outboard of the control arm location. The frame of the digger is a channel iron bent into a large "V" with gearbox and digger mounted on trunions at the rounded point of the V. It is red overall and the gearbox is rectangular. There's a small aluminum number tag rivited to the top of the gearbox. Under the dirt etc is part of a trademark on the back of the gearbox. All that's left are some yellow "spikes" that seem to be radiating from something. In one corner of the top of the gearbox there was something round printed, about the size of a half dollar.

Can anyone identify this thing and-more importantly-advise where parts may be available.

Thanks!!

[quote="AF 70"](quoted from post at 10:36:21 07/19/12) Roger the photo suggestion. I am, however, not talented in that respect nor is my old computer here.

Ah come on. I'm a computer dummy but I can download photos on this site.

RE: How it lifts--It's attached to the lower 3-point hitch arms and goes up/down with power-trol lever.

Does it raise and lower with a crank on one side of the frame? a cable going to the digger from the crank?
