riggs, our original 420 nfe was sold years ago,but I seem to remember being able to see that decal from the seat. I think it was on the lower dash area in front of the gear shift, but my memory ain't what it used to be.

I took before photos and there are 2 places I found, Rockshaft and below the battery box. I attached the photo of the battery box area.

Ive seen the decal placed in a couple different spots (maybee depending on what kind of day the guy was having who originally put them on??!). One of the more common areas is just below the battery tray on the left side (as others have stated). Ive also had several original tractors that have had that decal placed on the dash, this yellow 430W had remnants of the orignal paint when I started and that decal was centered on the cast dash housing. Other variations Ive seen include the shift pattern decal and small leaping deere logo. Most of the standards and utilities did have that decal placed on the fender, the fenders on those tractors were standard equipment and it probably would have been protocol to put it there. Fenders on a T or W were optional and the decal placer probably had to get creative!

John,

Can't answer your question, but it's good to see you posting on here.

How are things going for you? Keeping busy at work?

Stan

I believe you are refering to the other "Be Careful - Stop Power Takeoff..." decal. That's the one that goes on the rockshaft. I'm not certain about the "Be Careful - Drive Tractor..." But I have seen an original Standard with it on the left fender.

It goes in the same place on all small Debuiqe tractors, above the rock shaft casting just below the seat frame.

Back when I painted my 420 I was told by Travis Jorde (decal vender) that it goes right under the battery door on the torque tube, like in the picture below. But since then I have seen them everywhere on different 420's. Anyone have any vintage pictures showing where this decal was?

Thanks guys! I think these type fenders really set them off and makes them look like their standard big brothers. I recently replaced the front bumper with the correct weight.

It one also has the remotes, foot throttle, original working tach and float ride seat. (The top link was removed in this pic being repainted)
