I finally got around to pulling and taking the injector pump apart. The plastic weight retainer was completely gone except for a few small pieces hanging on the rivets. I replaced it with the part that does not require the plastic piece. Took me a while to realize I had to add my on timing mark to the new replacement weight retainer. DUH
The throttle linkage was full of the black pieces of plastic when I took it apart. When I went to put it back together, I clean all that up and noticed that the throttle has some side to side play. Is this normal or do I have something back together wrong or something wore out that needs replacing?
Thought I would ask before reinstalling to find out I have a big problem. I have attached some pictures that show the space on the left side of the throttle.
