Topic: Crankshaft seal question

I am working on a four cylinder engine (not JD) and the old seal was quite thick. Would it work to replace it with two thinner seals or would the one outer one just get dry and destroy itself?

| Replace it with what is supplied in the gasket seal kit.

If they will both fit in place..many Hydraulic seals are installed Double...
For one thing, that would place 2 seal lips at different place than the single had run.. Ron..
