I would like to use the power-trol for a cylinder like what is in Walts previous post photo. Using the Q/D couplings. What besides the female couplings do I need to do this ? I know about the original couplings but this is less expensive way to do it. Thanks guys.

Yes, you just hook the quick couplers using close nipples into the P/T plugs where the cylinder hoses would have gone.

BTW, you only have to install ONE selector valve in the upper hole, if you choose to ever go that way. There's a section in Field Service Bulletin #207 on that. BUT...the AA 5724 R will only fit into the newer Powr-Trol housing that uses the retaining lever, not the large knurled nuts.

Change the Cylinder Hose fittings to Male Pioneer and hook it right up..

BUT..Keep a set of the original "Dummy Plugs" handy, should you every want to use the "Rock-Shafts)..
IF you can find a set of the "Selector Plugs", you would not need to change the plugs and loose oil when you do..
NO real Big deal, just a little messy...
You could plumb into the Side of the Power-Trol, for your Remote..but, you would still need to change the plugs..IF you do not find a set of "Selectors"..
Did I just more-or-less repeat myself..???...!!!

Your cyl. also has the correct end on it.(can't see both hoses ) Remove the dust cover, flip the lever on the RH side of your valve to release them and pull them out and stick the ones right on the cyl. hoses in there and you are good to go.

Thought he said it was Walt's photo...

I like using the AA 5724 R selector valve, then run the hoses from the side ports to my pioneer connectors (the quick disconnect Aeroquip fittings from the factory option on my 70D were routed this way). They are easier to get to when using an 800 hitch.

By using the selector valve, you can option between the remote cylinder and rockshaft without pulling off the hoses.

Thanks Frank. Yes I did get the photo from Walts previous posting in "What I Saw". Anyways, I will get two Pioneer Q/D couplings. I have the power-trol plugs in the P/T now. All I have to do is remove the plugs and install the Pioneers ?

Just replace your original male couplers on the cylinder with pioneer type. Then take your original male couplers and hook Pioneer female couplers to them. Install like the tractor in the picture. I have done this with all of mine, lots less mess when changing cylinders.

You do realize that the female quick couplers(Pioneer) are attached to the original male hyd tips that are plugged into the hyd box???

Yes, Jim I do see that in the photo the pioneer couplings are in the power-trol. Thats all I have to do to use a hyd. cylinder?
