13 X 9 X 36 Wheel, Hub and Tire, came off a 1959 JD 620. Anyone have any idea of what these are worth? How rare are they and how valuable? Tires and Rims are in fair condition. Any help would be appreciated.

13.9-36 was a low profile tire introduced in late 50"s - I think it was only used by Deere. It was about an inch and a half shorter than the more common 13.6-36 - closer to a 12.4-36 in height but wider and used a wider rim. Never caught on like the other low profile 15.5-38 introduced about the same time because by then no one else was still using 36 inch tires.

If you find a Deere guy who needs them, they are unique and may be valuable - not sure they are still made. But I was offered a decent pair in MS last year mounted on JD wheels for $250 which I passed up in favor of a pair of 12.4-36 at same price for my MM JTS.

The 13.9-36 tire was introduced with the 520. If you look at your wheel casting odds are they will have a B3800R or B3801R part number which was used on the 520 initially. The 13.6-36 tire is a more modern tire used by the tire companies in order to utilize the already used 13.6 section on the shorter 36" rim. It was not around initially. The reason for the 36" rubber was to compensate for the higher engine speed of the 520 over the 50 so as to allow the travel speeds to be closer to the same. Someone has done some switching in years past as 36" tires were never offered for the 620 from the factory. Mike
