4020 3 pt won't lift

I have had this 4020 for years everything has always worked fine. But where the 3pt arms mount under the tractor, the bushings needed to be replaced. So I dropped the oil and replaced them, then filled it back up, and now they won't lift. I made sure the lever is hooked up and working, any suggestions. Thanks

Was the load/depth selector in D position when you replaced the bushings? If not the cam may have slipped off the linkage on the rockshaft valve. It requires removing the rockshaft valve and installing with the linkage aligned properly.

What Cliff stated is probably what happened, I don't know how it happens but the cam follower can get out of the roller some how when things don't go well,Darn it,,to get it back you will need to ether pull the valve housing or lift the rockshaft to get it back in place, if you have actsess to a bore camara you can go in through the bunk hole in back to look and see if it's out of place..

If you don't have a bore camera (as Tim suggested), I've got a couple of homemade 'lights' made just for this (can never find the original and have to make another); a 12v 1156 (or 1157 or something similar) socket with a couple of wires soldered on and alligator clips on the other end. By removing the filler plug nipple, the light can be dropped in and you can see through the plug at the rear to see whether or not the roller/cam follower is off track. Obviouly, you don't want to bust the light bulb, but it's always worked for me. You can supposedly insert a heavy wire through the rear plug and get it back on track, but I've always had to remove the rockshaft control valve housing.

I have never tried to put one back on with a wire like that Furlow,,But I think I'll give it a try on the next one I get. I have a selection of "Campaign poster wire" that might be just right for that job.As for that 'Light' idea, I have done the same thing in the past, then I found a nifty flash light with a long flex shaft and a small fiber optic bulb that worked nice,,sorta like hanging a chandalear in there,,now I have a good bore camera that is great for inspections.
